UNITARIANS SUPPORT FREEDOM OF PROTEST

On 29-30 January at the Royal Courts of Justice they will be holding a mass appeal trial for 16 Climate Activists who have been sentenced for non-violent protests. Together they face the prospect of 41 years in prison. The youngest of these activists is 22 years old, the oldest is in her 70s. This is a pivotal moment for democracy in Britain and for the right to non-violent freedom of expression worldwide.

The organisation Defend Our Juries will be holding a series of non-violent actions around the courts in the days of the trial.

U4CJ (Unitarians for Climate Justice) will be offering a warm space to rest and recover and grab a cup of tea within Essex hall over the two days of the trial. If you'd like to get involved email
